What this website collects

Nothing. There is no analytics on this site, no tracking pixels, no advertising network, no embedded video or map, no social media buttons and no fonts or scripts loaded from anyone else's server. Every file the site needs is served from this domain.

The site sets no cookies. Because it sets none, there is no cookie banner, which is the only good reason not to have one.

The contact form

The form on the contact page does not send anything anywhere. When you press the button, it assembles what you typed into a message and opens it in your own email application, on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to this website or to any third party, and nothing is stored in your browser.

Until you press send in your own email application, we have not received anything and no record of it exists outside your device.

What we do with emails you send us

If you email us, we hold your message and your email address so that we can reply to you and keep a record of the conversation. Our email is hosted with a mainstream provider inside the United Kingdom.

We keep enquiry correspondence for two years from the last message, and then delete it. Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep the project records for seven years after completion, because we are required to for tax purposes and because a client may need a paint reference or a warranty long after the work is done.

We use your address for one thing only, which is replying to you about your own enquiry or your own project. We do not share, sell or pass your details to anyone, other than where we have to give a contractor your address and telephone number in order to carry out work you have asked us to arrange, which we will always tell you about first.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not satisfied with how we have handled it.

To do any of the first three, email us at hello@groundworkinteriors.com and we will respond within one month, normally much sooner. We do not charge for this.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material here, we will change the date at the top. Since the site collects nothing, the most likely change is a correction rather than a new practice.
